Within the scope of “Civil Society Dialogue Programme between Turkey and the European Union” and “Civil Society Support Programme”; focus group meetings on “Sustainable Fundraising Opportunities for Civil Society: Digital Transformation and E-Commerce Strategies” were held on July 6, 2021 as online, in cooperation with Trendyol.com, one of Turkey’s largest e-commerce platforms.
The opening speech of the event, which was attended by CSO representatives who received grants within the scope of the programmes and carried out their projects, was given by A. Hakan Atik, Head of Department of Project Implementation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs. At the event, Trendyol Marketplace Director Özkan Çokaygil shared his presentation on “E-Commerce Opportunities, Strategies and Models for Civil Society Organizations” with the participants, while Trendyol Corporate Communications Director İrem Poyraz gave information about the “Goodness in the Basket” movement.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs EU Affairs Expert and Civil Society Dialogue Programme Coordinator Mehmet Ömürbek moderated the “Civil Society and E-Commerce Platforms Collaborations: Trendyol Good Practice Example”, Panel where TOHUM Autism Foundation, TOÇEV (Tüvana Education Foundation for Children Willing to Read) and TOFD (The Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey) representatives participated and shared their knowledge and experiences.
This inspiring event, organized for CSOs to strengthen their financial capacities, ended after the speakers answered questions from CSO representatives.
